Ann Beeman has held leadership roles at Ohio Living communities up and down Interstate 75 for 25 years, but last year, she returned “home” to where it all started – Ohio Living Dorothy Love.
Ann’s career started in 2000 at Ohio Living Dorothy Love, where she worked as the administrator of several areas on campus. In 2006, she was promoted to executive director and later, made a lateral move to Ohio Living Swan Creek in 2013. In 2020, she transitioned again to lead the Ohio Living Llanfair operation in Cincinnati, Ohio, until she had an opportunity to return to Ohio Living Dorothy Love as their executive director in 2024.
“As the executive director on campus, it is my job to support and encourage the staff members that work on campus,” said Ann. “I have to set a good example and make sure the mission of the organization is always at the forefront of what we do to meet the needs of the residents. It is my pleasure to provide support for employees, residents, family members and volunteers on campus.”
Making a difference is why she’s here and what drives her to come to work every day. “We have the power to make or break someone’s day,” Ann stressed. “The work we do in long-term care is hard, but making lives better makes it worth it. I would encourage young people to consider the industry, as there are so many opportunities available.”
Outside of work, Ann is blessed with two sons, Cameron and Benjamin. Cameron lives in Columbus, Ohio, and works in the finance sector, while Benjamin is following in his mother’s footsteps and studying to become a licensed nursing home administrator. Ann’s three sisters and one brother also live in the area, along with her 86-year-old mother.
Ann loves to travel, and her favorite travel memory is a trip she took to Assisi, Italy. She also enjoys going to the theater to watch musicals and following college football in the fall. Her faith is an extra-important part of her life too, and it helps center her and guide her daily actions.
