It’s Make a Difference Day! Sharing a recent Make it Happen story, to celebrate how our organization lives this out in a practical way. On a beautiful and warm Saturday in September, a special Make It Happen pet therapy wish was fulfilled at Majestic Meadows Alpacas & Boutique Farm. Ohio Living Home Health & Hospice – Greater Akron patient Shirley has always had a love for animals, and this day was one to remember!
Accompanied by her entire family, Shirley was treated to an up-close encounter with a baby alpaca, as well as a private showing of Ozzy the otter at Majestic Meadows Alpacas & Boutique Farm. Owners Jeff and Faye really extended the royal treatment! Empowered Transit, LLC from Copley, Ohio also donated their time and wheelchair accessible van to transport the entire crew to the Make It Happen event.
Shirley is a true animal lover. In addition to rescuing several animals over the years, she often enjoys watching “Saved by the Barn.” This 12-part Animal Planet series follows the adventures of a gentleman who returns to rural Michigan to convert his family’s generations-old farm into a rescue for barnyard animals.
