December 2025 Employee Spotlight: Kiersten, Activities Department

Enthusiasm in hand, Kiersten joined the Ohio Living Mount Pleasant culinary team six years ago, at the age of 15. It wasn’t long before she set her sights on becoming an activity assistant, and three years later, she transferred to the activities department.

Kiersten shares that the best part of her job “is seeing smiles on the residents’ faces when I walk through the door.” To her, our residents feel like family, and she takes pride in helping make their days more engaging. When needed, Kiersten also steps in as a part-time resident assistant.

Outside of work, Kiersten enjoys spending time with her family – she’s a twin and a big sister! A fun fact about her is that she dreams of becoming a nail technician and opening her own salon someday.

Kiersten’s advice for anyone entering the healthcare field is to always be ready. “Every day brings something new, and that’s part of what makes the work so rewarding,” she said.
