As the clinical director at Ohio Living Ganzhorn Suites, Joyce oversees all aspects of clinical care within the community. She began her journey at Ohio Living Ganzhorn Suites 10 years ago as a floor nurse. Later, she stepped into the role of weekend supervisor for about seven years, before advancing to clinical director.
“I feel like I make a difference by staying positive and trying to see the light where others may not,” Joyce explained. “We are like a second family here - the staff, residents and their families.”
Outside of work, Joyce has been happily married for 20 years. She has two grown children and a four-year-old granddaughter, as well as two cats. Joyce enjoys spending time with her family and attending church.
“Start somewhere in healthcare and see if it is something you have a passion for,” Joyce said. “Your heart must be in this profession. You cannot be here just to get paid. Find where you are called and move forward, knowing you can make a difference.”
