Ohio Living Rockynol and McGregor Pace Celebrate New Collaboration

Ohio Living and McGregor PACE executives joined community leaders and members May 8 to commemorate the start of their new partnership with a groundbreaking-style event at Ohio Living Rockynol. Over the next few months, existing space on the first floor of the western building at the Ohio Living Rockynol campus will be converted to house the new collaboration, McGregor PACE at Ohio Living Rockynol.

Once open, McGregor PACE at Ohio Living Rockynol will provide coordinated, comprehensive medical and social services for up to 400 older adults in the Summit County area. Services will include primary care; physical, occupational and speech therapy; social work and prescription updates and adjustments. More than 30 jobs will be created to support the center’s operation.

To be eligible for PACE, an individual must meet a nursing home level of care as determined by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services, be 55 years or older and live in an approved county. Prior to this collaboration, services were only available in Cuyahoga County.

The center’s redevelopment is anticipated to wrap in late 2024 and will utilize 5.9 million dollars of American Rescue Plan funds to complete.

"This innovative collaboration with McGregor PACE is designed to provide extra support for older adults who want to age in place at home and may not have the resources to do so,” said Ohio Living CEO Laurence Gumina. “We are passionate about facilitating high-quality, cost-effective solutions for our aging population, and anticipate the difference McGregor PACE at Ohio Living Rockynol will make in our community.”
