    Resident Move-in Spotlight: Sandy Reddig

Behind every resident at Ohio Living Breckenridge Village, there is a special move-in story! Tom and Sandy Reddig relocated to the community in May 2024 to age well and be closer to family residing in Willoughby.

One week in, Sandy, who had previously been in excellent health, noticed the loss of vision in one eye. The team at Ohio Living Breckenridge Village quickly jumped into action to ensure she received necessary care.

“Not having any health physicians here, I contacted a social worker on campus, Rebecca, who connected me to Dr. Amy Livingston of Curana Health, who referred me to an ophthalmologist,” shared Sandy. “The ophthalmologist urged me to report to an ER immediately; she thought I had experienced a stroke! At the hospital, I was told that I had severe anemia and was transfused with blood for treatment.”

Two months passed, and again, Sandy was told to report to the ER immediately, due to low hemoglobin levels. “During this journey to health, I have felt so comforted, safe, protected and loved by the Ohio Living Breckenridge Village staff, fellow neighbors and our ranch in the woods,” Sandy relayed. “Our new home was so welcoming and so easy to take care of during this health emergency.”
