Born and raised in Middletown, Ohio, Becky spent her childhood across from Sunset Park, where she and her sister formed lifelong friendships. Summers were filled with swimming and going to park dances at the tennis courts. Becky also remembers watching legendary basketball players, including Jerry Lucas, practice in her neighborhood.

Becky began her career at Armco Steel Corporation in 1974, where she later met her husband, Jim. After a brief break in service, she retired after 36 years, having enjoyed a variety of office roles throughout her career.

Following retirement, Becky and Jim moved to Spring City, Tennessee, where they enjoyed life on Watts Bar Lake. Jim pursued woodworking while Becky discovered a passion for cooking. Together, they spent many happy days fishing for crappie from their pontoon boat and welcoming friends and family for visits.

The couple returned to southwest Ohio in 2016. At the encouragement of Becky's sister, Donna, they chose Ohio Living Mount Pleasant as their new home. After a year and a half, Jim experienced a stroke and was later diagnosed with dementia. He moved to nursing care and passed away in February of this year.

These days, Becky enjoys her home at Ohio Living Mount Pleasant with her dog, Izzie, and cat, Mystique. She is especially grateful for the physical therapy services she has received while living on campus.

“My greatest accomplishment was meeting my husband and spending 31 plus years together,” Becky added.
