The Ohio Living Silver Heart Award, which originated in 2020, honors best-in-class teammates living our values! At Ohio Living Home Health & Hospice – Greater Cleveland, Corrine was nominated for her dynamic display of compassion.
In the short time Corrine has worked with Ohio Living Home Health & Hospice, she has managed to create an incredibly positive impact on the hospice program. Her consistent smile and positive attitude are contagious to all who encounter her.
Her co-worker shared, “You can't help but smile when Corrine addresses you. I am always amazed at the speed with which she addresses all issues that are sent her way. If a question or issue arises, she tries to immediately solve it or come up with a solution.”
Corrine exercises patience in all interactions and is regarded as a positive role model. Her leader shared, “I had the pleasure of sitting in on a meeting Corrine had with a dear client of mine, where she explained the hospice program in great detail. She patiently answered questions and brought up valid reasons why hospice would be the best route to take for this individual. Corrine won this resident over, by using a compassionate approach to discuss this very fragile topic with a resident who was not at all ready mentally to accept the word ‘hospice.’ I am absolutely certain that if she had handled that meeting any differently, the client would not have agreed to the services, even though they truly needed hospice.”
