The Ohio Living Silver Heart Award, which originated in 2020, honors best-in-class teammates living our values! This year’s theme, Trustworthy, honors those who embody reliability, honesty and accountability. Makaitlyn embodies these qualities every day in the rehab unit at Ohio Living Mount Pleasant, where she provides primary care to residents with skill and a genuine love for her work.
“Makaitlyn is what team player is in human form,” one colleague shared. “She doesn’t complain, she shows up every day, and she truly cares about the work she does. I’m so glad to have her on my team.”
Makaitlyn’s teammates know that when she’s on shift, the day runs smoothly. She is organized and always pleasant, no matter the pressures of the job. While pregnant, she continued working until just two days before her scheduled C-section. Her reliability and commitment to her team and residents is unwavering.
Her nominator shared, “The residents are always so happy when she works. She is prompt with their requests, and everything she reports at the end of her shift is exactly right. Narcotics, nurse’s station organization and resident updates are always spot on.”
