The Ohio Living Silver Heart Award, which originated in 2020, honors best-in-class teammates living our values! This year’s theme, Trustworthy, honors those who embody reliability, honesty and accountability. At Ohio Living Dorothy Love, Scott was nominated for his strong moral compass and ethical leadership.
“Scott’s commitment to honesty is evident in every situation, even when doing the right thing is difficult,” shared one nominator. “He works closely with residents to ensure their needs are met and takes the time to make things right, always putting their best interests first.”
In a role where consistency is critical to building trust, Scott is known as someone who always follows through. A colleague noted that Scott routinely comes in outside of normal business hours to resolve issues, regardless of the day or occasion. “It doesn’t matter if it’s Christmas Day or his birthday; Scott is here if needed. That level of dependability gives everyone confidence that things will be handled and handled well.”
Beyond his reliability, Scott is deeply respected for the care and concern he shows for residents and staff. He has taken on the role of mentor within the EVS department and across campus, leading by example and supporting the success of others. His willingness to step in and find cost-saving solutions reflects both pride in his work and dedication to Ohio Living Dorothy Love.
In the coming weeks, we’ll continue to highlight our winners in a series of spotlight blogs. Be sure to follow along!
