The Ohio Living Silver Heart Award, which originated in 2020, honors best-in-class teammates living our values! At Ohio Living Westminster-Thurber, Sia was nominated for her fantastic collaboration skills and compassionate heart.
Within the last four years, Sia has transitioned from activities coordinator to social services, and back to the activities team as the director. With her many talents, she has been able to change departments to fit shifting needs at Ohio Living Westminster-Thurber.
A leader on campus shared, “As I think about all our great employees, Sia is the first person that comes to mind for our Silver Heart nomination. She consistently shows compassion in the way she puts others first. In every decision, in every change, in helping with extra weekend coverage – the residents and her fellow staff members are at the heart of everything she does. Her ideas and implementation of family events have truly brought the whole campus together.”
She continued, “Because of Sia’s compassion for our community, our programs have completely transformed, and residents are thriving. There are not enough words to describe the pride we have in our community because of what she has done here. She truly embodies the word compassion in every way.”
