Abby’s journey at Ohio Living Dorothy Love has been shaped by staying adaptable, giving her best effort and embracing opportunities to learn. Over the past 13 years, these qualities have helped her navigate several different departments on campus. “Each department is unique and important,” she shared.
Currently, she works as the administrative assistant and billing office coordinator at Ohio Living Dorothy Love, but her path began as a server in the Oak Tree Dining Room. She also supported the community’s social services department as a social services designee for a few years.
“There are so many aspects that contribute to a fulfilling career in the healthcare field,” said Abby. “The most rewarding thing about my job is getting to build relationships with the residents. I have a lot of compassion for those around me, and I feel that helps me do my job to the best of my ability.”
Outside of work, Abby is married and has a nine-year-old daughter, Emma. Two cats and a rabbit, which Emma cares for as part of her 4H involvement, complete their household. Abby loves traveling, spending days on the lake, camping and enjoying quality time with family and friends.
