Administrative Professionals Week Spotlight: Colleen O.

“Always stay a novice, and you will learn things quickly and be able to grow into different areas,” advises Colleen, an administrative professional who provides valuable support to several teams at Ohio Living Rockynol. She began as the administrative coordinator in October of 2023. Since then, she has taken on additional responsibilities, including admissions for rehab and medical records.

“As the administrative coordinator, I give support to the directors at Ohio Living Rockynol,” Colleen explained. “Managing the referrals for incoming potential rehab patients is part of the admissions work I assist with. In the community, I work with case managers and families looking for rehab for their loved one. Additionally, I support the medical records process by organizing documents into residents’ medical charts and handling chart requests from attorneys, doctor’s offices and insurance companies.”

Even if you're not directly involved in clinical care, Colleen believes that healthcare is an incredibly rewarding career path.

At home, she’s a proud mom to three grown children who live in Tennessee and Florida, and she’s thrilled to be welcoming her first grandchild soon! Her abode is also filled with fun, thanks to her two goofy dogs and one “diva cat” who keeps everyone on their toes. Colleen’s favorite hobbies include live music and karaoke, and this year, she’s excited to give gardening another try!
