Social Work Month Spotlight: Daniela F.

Amid the difficult moments of hospice care, social worker Daniela seizes every opportunity for lightheartedness. “I believe there is a misconception that hospice is a sad field of work, but it is not,” she explained. “There is a lot of laughter and happiness that comes with being on the hospice team, while working with patients and their families.”

Daniela joined the Ohio Living Home Health & Hospice - Greater Columbus team in January of this year, and she provides end-of-life support and education in tandem with nurses, chaplains and aides.

When she’s not working, Daniela likes to cook, bake and read. A lifelong Michigan resident, she moved to Columbus, Ohio two years ago with her two cats, Pepper and Berlioz. In the evenings, she also attends classes at Columbus State Community College.
