    August 2024 Employee Spotlight: Adam, Director of Culinary

    Folding in 16+ years of culinary experience, Adam serves up excellence in his role as the director of culinary for Ohio Living Mount Pleasant. Previously, he worked at Figlio Wood Fired Pizza in his hometown of Dayton, before accepting his first role, assistant director of culinary, at the community three years ago.

     

    Day to day, Adam oversees food service for independent living and skilled nursing residents, inclusive of planning, cooking, preparing and serving all meals. He also assists with special events on campus, for example, teaching cooking classes for the Institute of Learning in Retirement.

     

    “The most rewarding thing about my job is knowing that we can make our residents’ day through food,” expressed Adam. “I love seeing the culinary department employees work so hard to create the best meals possible. It shows not only their dedication to a job, but more importantly, their dedication to our residents.”

     

    Adam is a proud dad and recently welcomed a baby boy, Dawson, to his growing family. Outside of work and family commitments, he can be found dining at the newest restaurant in town or playing a game of golf.
