With over six years of dedicated service, Britany exemplifies compassionate care and teamwork in her nursing role on campus. She began in the rehabilitation unit where she served for more than three years. In her current role in assisted living, Britany helps residents maintain their independence by providing housing, meals and support with daily living activities.
“We spend so much time with the residents that they become like extended family,” explained Britany. “We celebrate birthdays, holidays and beyond. We laugh and cry together! I love coming to work. My co-workers and the teamwork we have is also invaluable. And bonus – I get to work alongside my best friend!”
For those considering a career in healthcare, Britany offers this advice: “There will be good days and bad days, but in the end, it’s all worth it. This field demands patience and compassion. If you're not willing to put your whole heart into the care you provide, then it may not be the right path for you."
Britany is a devoted mother of three boys and two Yorkies. She and her husband have been together for 10 years. Britany enjoys traveling, hiking and spending time outdoors, as well as reading and quality moments with her family. Looking ahead, she aims to further her education by pursuing her RN degree.
