In just over six months at Ohio Living Quaker Heights, Monica has become a familiar face to many residents. As a certified medication aide, she assists the LPNs with passing medications, helping the day run smoothly and allowing nurses to spend more one-on-one time with residents. It’s a role that requires teamwork and strong attention to detail.
“I am lucky enough to see the residents almost every day,” shared Monica. “Seeing them excited to see me is an amazing feeling!”
When she’s not at work, Monica enjoys spending time with her husband of 11 years, Matthew, and their lively household, which includes their three boys, Joey, Matty and Waymon. They also have two “fur babies,” Scout and Astrid.
“Take your time finding the specialty that speaks to your heart,” Monica advises anyone considering a career in healthcare. “When you do, it becomes an incredibly rewarding career.”
