Courtney oversees everything HR-related, from onboarding to payroll processing, as the human resources business partner at Ohio Living Llanfair. Her tenure began three years ago as an office coordinator, and through dedication and skill, she worked her way up to her current role.
On any given day, Courtney lends her expertise to billing, implementing HR processes, maintaining compliance through personnel files and much more. “Human Resources should create an open and positive environment for employees,” explained Courtney. “We are the point of contact for all things related to enrollment, employee surveys, new management systems or simply just offering employees a helping hand.”
When asked how she makes a difference for those she interacts with, Courtney highlights the importance of patience and working with integrity. “Excelling in HR requires not just expertise, but also the ability to advocate for others with kindness and integrity,” she stressed. “It gives me joy to know that just a few minutes of time can help someone’s livelihood! Whether it is helping them sign on to HR applications, resetting passwords, helping in Relias, printing out pay stubs, answering benefit questions, etc. – these are all small gestures that pay off in the long run.”
Beyond work, Courtney has a passion for all things art and design, including fashion, photography, nature, architecture, patterns, color schemes and even dance.
"As I get older, I’ve come to realize the importance of stepping outside of my comfort zone and exploring new things,” added Courtney. “That’s what brings me joy – the constant search for it."
