At Ohio Living Dorothy Love, we're proud to have several sets of siblings among our residents and staff. Today, we’re celebrating Marj Dunnavant and Janet Cox in honor of National Siblings Day. The two sisters, born just 17 months apart, were raised here in Sidney, Ohio, on a large acreage farm.

Marj and Janet enjoyed growing up together, creating countless special memories along the way. As children, they spent hours making paper dolls, even cutting out outfits from newspaper during the war to save money. Every weekend, they tended to their victory garden, growing vegetables and picking berries from their bushes, and they loved sharing the fruits of their labor with friends and neighbors. In high school, they both played tennis and shared many of the same friends.

Even when Janet moved out-of-state for several years, the sisters stayed up until 3 a.m. reminiscing about old times! Their bond remains as strong as ever, and they both chose to move to Ohio Living Dorothy Love, settling in the same neighborhood. When the weather is perfect, you’ll often find Marj and Janet enjoying a peaceful stroll around our ponds or relaxing with a good book!
