National Siblings Day Spotlight: Jenny and Bryan

At Ohio Living Swan Creek, siblings Jenny and Bryan are truly a dynamic duo. This National Siblings Day, we're excited to celebrate their remarkable impact on our campus, which has spanned several decades!

As the administrative coordinator at Ohio Living Swan Creek, Jenny runs the front desk during the day and supervises the evening receptionists.

“The front desk is a hub of our independent living area,” Jenny explained. “All calls for the entire campus are routed through me, and I love being able to say hello to everyone who passes by, as well as offer support. Staff often come to me for issue resolution, since I have been here a long time!”

Jenny’s career path at Ohio Living started more than 22 years ago in the business office, though she’s spent the last seven years working at the front desk. “It is a rewarding, but challenging job at times,” she adds. “You need to have patience and empathy to work in healthcare. I love working with my co-workers, including my brother, and interacting with the residents.”

Bryan executes a different critical guest service role on campus, as Ohio Living Swan Creek’s bus driver. He helps organize outings and provides transportation for a wide range of destinations, from doctor’s appointments to day trips.

“I love helping residents make it safely to their appointments, or the bank/grocery store,” relayed Bryan. “I also enjoy helping to organize and facilitate fun outings.”

Bryan has supported the campus in a few transportation roles for more than 23 years. He joined the team a year before his sister.

Beyond work, Bryan has been married to his wife, Julie, for 25 years, and together they have a daughter, Madison, as well as a dog and cat named Josie and Jasper. Bryan enjoys bowling and traveling with his family to state parks to explore waterfalls and enjoy nature.

Jenny, meanwhile, married her high school sweetheart, Ryan. They have a daughter, Abby, along with two dogs, Sadie and Stormi. She enjoys watching Abby cheer and dance competitively, as well as reading, scrapbooking and traveling.
