Originally from Turnerville, Texas, Bob Clary grew up on a small farm. He later attended the University of Oklahoma, earning his bachelor’s degree (and playing center field on the baseball team!), then went on to attend McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago.
In 1959, Bob married his wife in Oklahoma and supported her as she continued her education. He was ordained as a minister and served churches across the U.S. and abroad, including in Scotland, Pittsburgh and St. Louis, where his children were born.
Bob and his wife moved to Ohio Living Llanfair in 2016. He loves the friendly atmosphere of Belwood Apartments and the caring staff who make the community feel like home.
Although Bob says he has “no hobbies,” he stays active in what matters most to him: justice. He’s passionate about issues of race and economics.
When asked what he’s most proud of, Bob shared, “Being a friend to so many people from all kinds of backgrounds.”
