Ohio Living Board Member Spotlight: Dr. Holly Papanek

We are proud to highlight our outstanding Ohio Living Board Members, including Internist, Hospitalist and Medical Director, Dr. Holly Papanek.

Dr. Papanek was awarded her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her postgraduate residency training at Grandview Hospital in the Kettering Health Network. She was the first Director of the Hospitalist Program at Middletown Regional Hospital and led the program’s transition to Atrium Medical Center. She continued her Hospitalist practice with a focus on acute care in multiple facilities within the Premier Health Network where she has been honored twice for excellence in patient care.

Dr. Papanek has a long-standing relationship with Ohio Living, having served as the Medical Director of Ohio Living Quaker Heights and Ohio Living Cape May, as well as the Plan Medical Director for Perennial Advantage of Ohio and Colorado. Her role as an independent physician allows her to partner with wonderful organizations and pursue medical interests far beyond the scope of what she envisioned for her career, and we are immensely grateful for her leadership.

“I chose to serve on the Ohio Living Board because of my wonderful experiences with the management of Ohio Living Quaker Heights and Ohio Living Cape May,” said Papanek. “The teams within each campus, as well as their corporate support staff, facilitate my passion for assisting patients with their medical struggles as they try to age with dignity and respect. I am humbled and honored by the opportunity to contribute to their mission of supporting the aging population in Ohio. Additionally, I am committed to sharing my experiences and insight to help fulfill Ohio Living’s vision for a faith-driven continuum of communities with supportive and compassionate care for each resident.”

Papanek is a lifelong South Dayton resident, and she and her husband have four sons. Outside of her career and board service, she loves spending time with her boys, who are all at different stages of independence. She treasures family dinners on Sundays, attending her boys’ sporting events, or sneaking away for a Mom’s Weekend at Miami University. She added, “My Ohio Living residents remind me often of how quickly our years go by, inspiring my passion for every opportunity to make lasting memories with my family.”
