Judie Bauer is a proud Ohio native who grew up in Cincinnati and married her high school sweetheart, Jack, in 1958. Together, they raised two children and shared a love for the beach and nature.
Judie spent 25 years working as a Relocation Specialist with West Shell Real Estate after earning her degree from the University of Cincinnati. In 2000, she and Jack retired to Venice, Florida, where they enjoyed community involvement and coastal living for many years. One special highlight was working with interns from the Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium during annual sea turtle nesting season.
After her husband’s passing in 2020, Judie made the brave decision to leave behind her close-knit Florida community and relocate to be nearer to her immediate family. Though it meant parting with dear friends and the resting place of her beloved Jack, she felt peace in the decision. “I will join him again someday," she said.
In addition to enjoying hobbies like genealogy, photography and watercolor painting, Judie remains active in historical organizations like the Daughters of the American Revolution. She treasures her children and four grandsons, calling them her “special trophies.”
These days, Judie appreciates peaceful views and deep friendships. "Ohio Living Llanfair offers all residents safety, security, a variety of enjoyable entertainment and excellent services," elaborated Judie. "I enjoy making new friends every day. My comfortable apartment, complete with an attached balcony, blesses me with beautiful views of all the seasons…not to mention the picturesque gardens and chapel."
