The Ohio Living Silver Heart Award, which originated in 2020, honors best-in-class teammates living our values! At Ohio Living Llanfair, Shena was nominated for her remarkable ability to create a warm and supportive environment as a nurse in Ohio Living Llanfair’s memory care unit.
Her nomination noted, “Shena has been a nurse on the Grove unit at Ohio Living Llanfair for several years. She is an active participant in the I’m Still Here program, which is a certified dementia program. She is always calm during stressful situations and is able to provide reassurance and comfort to those in an agitated state."
Another colleague noted, “Shena is always engaging the residents in activities, such as singing, dancing or helping them cover their Bingo cards. On any given shift, she can be witnessed holding residents’ hands, or letting residents lay their heads on her shoulder to provide them comfort. She is an advocate for the residents and embodies Ohio Living’s mission to provide adults with caring and quality services.”
