The Ohio Living Silver Heart Award, which originated in 2020, honors best-in-class teammates living our values! This year’s theme, Trustworthy, honors those who embody reliability, honesty and accountability. Stephanie, an assisted living LPN who has worked for Ohio Living Quaker Heights for 15 years, was nominated for her devotion to her residents.
“Stephanie embodies the definition of being trustworthy,” explainer her nominator. “She works without a counterpart nurse in assisted living for long stretches, taking on extra work when agency nurses rotate in and out. Through it all, she perseveres because of her love for the residents who depend on her familiar face and amazing care.”
Stephanie’s work goes far beyond routine tasks. She provides reassurance to residents, especially those unfamiliar with agency staff. Even when faced with challenging circumstances, she brings a cheerful attitude and unwavering commitment to her role.
As one colleague put it: “Stephanie is steady as a rock. She rolls with the punches and works as hard as she can. She gives us so much of herself.”
