The Ohio Living Silver Heart Award, which originated in 2020, honors best-in-class teammates living our values! This year’s theme, Trustworthy, honors those who embody reliability, honesty and accountability. Theresa’s innovative thinking and caring heart make her an invaluable part of the Ohio Living Llanfair community.
Theresa serves as a housekeeper on campus, and her impact reaches across all levels of care, from independent living to memory care. Colleagues describe her as a dependable team member who consistently goes above and beyond.
During a recent staffing challenge, Theresa rearranged her schedule to ensure residents’ apartments were cleaned on time, even traveling between buildings while maintaining her own assignments in the Rehab unit. Her proactive approach allowed residents’ routines to remain uninterrupted, all without them even noticing the extra effort required behind the scenes. “Theresa’s dedication inspired her colleagues to adopt similar best practices,” one nominator shared. “Together, they found ways to overcome obstacles and deliver excellent service.”
Theresa’s excellence is not limited to her work ethic. She consistently demonstrates profound knowledge of time management and customer service. Beyond her technical skills, compassion stands out. She makes residents feel comfortable and cared for in every space she maintains.
“Theresa is a natural leader and a highly respected team player,” explained her nominator. “Her willingness to train new staff and work with them 1:1 until they are comfortable to work by themselves has a profound impact on team morale and productivity. She embodies the spirit of Ohio Living in every interaction!”
