The Ohio Living Silver Heart Award, which originated in 2020, honors best-in-class teammates living our values! This year’s theme, Trustworthy, honors those who embody reliability, honesty and accountability. At Ohio Palliative Medicine, Somer was nominated for being an outstanding team player.
“Somer consistently goes above and beyond to support patients and her colleagues,” one nominator shared. “She takes the lead to ensure the needs of our patients are met and works hard to make sure everyone receives the support they need. She is dependable, communicates effectively in real time and always follows through on her responsibilities. We appreciate all that she does.”
In her role, Somer plays a vital role in educating patients about levels of care and advance care planning, helping ensure they receive the right care at the right time.
