Long-Term Care Administrators Week Spotlight: Lena Richards

With a concentrated focus on workforce development, resident satisfaction and compliance, Lena Richards leaves no stone unturned. Since joining the Ohio Living family last spring, she has worked to create lasting relationships and tangible quality outcomes in her role as the administrator at Ohio Living Breckenridge Village.

“I am fortunate to come to work and feel the pride of our teams in the care they deliver,” Lena shared. “I love getting to know the residents and their families; their wisdom and stories are priceless. By living out our community’s mission, we strive to create meaningful and lasting relationships, as well as tangible quality outcomes.”

Every day brings opportunities to make an impact on someone’s life, and Lena does not take this lightly. She leads teams at Fairmount Health Center and the Nason Center, ensuring they have the tools needed to provide quality care and services. She also works with leadership across campus to provide a smooth transition for residents who may require a higher level of care.

Beyond work, Lena is blessed with a wonderful husband, Tony, and one-year-old daughter, Nora. Cheeto, an orange cat, completes their family unit. As a family, they love trying new restaurants, taking walks and swimming in nearby Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Lena also loves to travel, and impressively, she explored 10 countries before she turned 30!
