Long-Term Care Administrators Week Spotlight: Tim Phillips

Laughter is game changer, and Ohio Living Swan Creek’s executive director encourages lots of it. For 14 years, Tim Phillips has played an instrumental role at the community, serving as a social worker for nine years and in his current leadership capacity for the past five.

“As the executive director at Ohio Living Swan Creek, I feel it is my job to steer the ship,” Tim noted. “I want to make sure we are operating well and that I’m leading and elevating my team. Bringing awareness is also an important part of my day-to-day contributions. I strive to be an ambassador of our mission by setting a strong example. Most of all, my team will tell you that I love to laugh!”

One of the highlights of Tim’s role is seeing an idea cross over from possibility to reality. He appreciates the positive outcomes that result from his team working together for the betterment of everyone on campus.

For those considering a healthcare career he said, “Just do it! You will never regret the impact that you will have on others. Coming in with an open mind and walking away with hundreds of moments that will impact you for years to come will surely give you a better lease on life.”

On the home front, Tim is married to Mandy, and they have three children, Simone, Able and Neve, as well as two dogs, Peggy and Poppy. Tim enjoys developing his faith and spirituality, which he notes stirs him personally. He also really looks forward to family time spent outdoors, whether hiking, camping or some other spontaneous adventure. Another interesting tidbit about the Phillips family is that they have bred four litters of Australian Labradoodles!
