Margie has been an integral part of Ohio Living Cape May for nine years and currently serves as the community’s social service designee. In her role, she advocates for residents, assists with discharge planning, is sometimes a detective and always lends a listening ear.
“Always work with your heart,” encouraged Margie. “Everyone is going through something. It costs nothing to be a kind human, but the rewards are endless. You never know what a smile or encouraging word will do to help someone.”
A big part of Margie’s job is helping residents transition smoothly back to their homes and ensuring they have the resources to succeed and avoid re-admission. She is also an advocate for long-term care and rehab residents, doing everything she can to make them feel at home during their stay at Ohio Living Cape May. No two days are the same!
Outside of work, Margie enjoys spending time with her husband of 33 years and their two children, Britteny and Austin. Crocheting, especially making sweaters, is one of her favorite hobbies. She also loves spending time outdoors. “A simple drive leads to great adventures,” she added.
