Social Work Month Spotlight: Emily W.

Continuing with our spotlight on Social Work Month, we are delighted to recognize another outstanding member of the Ohio Living Breckenridge Village team, Emily. For a little over a year, she has served as the director of social services for the Fairmount Health Center.

“Patient and family advocacy are so important,” shared Emily. “I work on discharge planning and coordinating services for the residents, as well as communicating our residents’ needs to other departments. Through it all, I also provide resources and information to patients, residents and their families.”

When asked what tips or guidance she would have for those considering a career in the healthcare field, Emily pointed to her integration of the Golden Rule. “Treat others how you would want them to treat you,” she urged.

For fun, Emily enjoys spending time outdoors, taking in live music and visiting amusement parks. She is a loving wife and mother of two boys.
