Nurse April has been lighting up Ohio Living Mount Pleasant's night shift for 17 years, and we’re excited to feature her in this month’s employee spotlight.
April enjoys helping assisted living residents transition into receiving the care they need, while maintaining as much independence as possible. She explained, “The most rewarding part of my job is being able to provide the assistance and care I would want for my very own family.”
“It’s more than just a job," stressed April. "You need empathy and compassion, and you have to treat your residents like your own loved ones.”
Outside of work, April is a proud wife of 11 years and a mom to two daughters. Fun fact: She and her husband were married right here at Ohio Living Mount Pleasant by the water fountain. The community has been an instrumental part of her life in more ways than one!
At home, April enjoys the company of her cat, Henry, and her energetic Pomsky, Luna. In her free time, she loves reading and traveling, especially to theme parks and the beach.
