COLUMBUS, Ohio (Nov. 28, 2025) – Five Ohio Living communities have achieved Best Nursing Home recognition in this year’s U.S. News and World Report national evaluation.
- Ohio Living Cape May in Wilmington, Ohio Living Lake Vista in Cortland, Ohio Living Rockynol in Akron and Ohio Living Sarah Moore were recognized in the Short-Term Rehabilitation category.
- Ohio Living Breckenridge Village in Willoughby was recognized in the Long-Term Care category.
“These ratings stand as strong third-party confirmation of Ohio Living’s enduring pursuit of quality and service excellence,” said Ohio Living Chief Executive Officer Laurence C. Gumina. “Our century-long legacy inspires us to continue earning the trust of those we serve through our unwavering mission.”
For this year’s list, U.S. News evaluated nearly 15,000 senior living facilities using publicly available data, primarily from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Facilities must meet data requirements across staffing, process and outcome measures to qualify.
To be named a Best Nursing Home, a community must achieve a “High Performing” score in either short-term rehabilitation, long-term care or both. U.S. News also introduced a new weight-based composite scoring system this year to increase transparency and provide an even clearer assessment of quality.
