July 2026 Resident Spotlight: Richard Isroff

Ohio Living Mount Pleasant’s resident spotlight for this month is Richard Isroff, who enjoys spending time with family and sharing stories from his long career in the jewelry business.

Richard met his wife on a blind date arranged by mutual friends. Although she almost didn't go because of the distance between them, the date marked the beginning of a lifelong love story. After dating for a year, they married and celebrated 52 years together. They have four children and five grandchildren.

During his working years, Richard spent nearly 60 years in the jewelry business. He began at Reed-Klopp Furniture Company before joining Rogers Jewelers when the Towne Mall opened in 1972. After eight years there, he continued serving customers by selling jewelry out of Java Johnny's. One of his proudest accomplishments is the number of people he trained and mentored. He also spent many years coaching youth sports.

"I always believed in treating the customer the way you would want to be treated," shared Richard. "Live life with personal integrity."

Richard says one thing that may surprise people is that he once biked 20 miles every day. He chose Ohio Living Mount Pleasant because of its personal touch, and he appreciates the caring community. "The staff are so helpful and friendly," he said. "That's what makes this place special."
