This month, we're pleased to highlight Sally Wester, a retired educator with more than 30 years of experience in the classroom. Born in Illinois and a longtime Cincinnati resident, her life advice is simple: stay active in your church and forgive quickly.
Family is central in Sally’s life, and she’s a proud mom of two sons, grandmother to five and great-grandmother to one. “I have been very blessed and continue to be," added Sally. "Thank you, Jesus!”
During her working years, Sally shaped young minds as a fourth-grade teacher for more than 33 years. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Ball State University and a master’s in education from Xavier University.
Now in her well-earned retirement, Sally continues to nurture her creativity. She enjoys watercolor painting, solving jigsaw puzzles and baking cookies...often just to give them away!
At Ohio Living Llanfair, Sally appreciates the caring people, from friendly residents to skilled staff like Steve the custodian and Mary the nurse. Her advice for others considering senior living options: “Explore your options early. Make the decision before you can’t, and someone else makes it for you."
Some may be surprised to learn that Sally also has some hidden musical abilities! She once played guitar and has dabbled in a range of instruments, from the accordion to the dulcimer.
