Volunteers make the world go ‘round! We are immensely grateful for the time, energy and effort our volunteers give to support a wide range of activities and services on our campuses. At Ohio Living Swan Creek, we’re especially grateful for Carol Spaulding and Sue Murphy, who faithfully assist with weekly communion and our monthly Catholic Mass for residents, among other activities.
“I wasn’t sure what to expect before I got involved with volunteering,” shared Sue, who has been serving at the campus for a year. “It wasn’t at all like I pictured – the comradery and the relationships I have built here are wonderful. I find myself looking forward to being here. It’s so rewarding! I want to help people and learn about them, and volunteering fulfills those desires for me.”
Carol, a 15-year volunteer, shares her sentiment. “I just love it here,” she said. “These people are MY people. Ohio Living Swan Creek is meeting their residents’ spiritual needs. I also think this is a place that my mom would have liked to have been. When I grow older, I hope that someone brings me communion!”
Ohio Living Swan Creek would also like to give a special shoutout to Maria Morgan, their most tenured volunteer, who is currently soaking up some sunshine in Florida. Thank you, Maria, for an incredible 25 years of dedicated volunteer service!
