For over seven years, Steve has demonstrated unparalleled patience and compassion in his role as a social worker at Ohio Living Rockynol. “Healthcare workers don’t always see people at their best, which is why compassion and patience are so essential,” Steve explained.
Day-to-day, Steve works with both skilled nursing and long-term care residents. “A big part of my role is explaining how all the different levels of care work, from skilled care, long-term care, assisted living, or maybe even discharging to home or independent living on this campus,” shared Steve. “The resident and family may be making life choices, and so, to assist with decreasing their anxiety is rewarding.”
When he's off the clock, Steve loves spending quality time with his big family. He also enjoys staying active by working out, swimming and relaxing in hot tubs during the winter months.
